Privacy Policy

Account data. When you sign in with Google, we receive your name, email address, and Google account identifier. We do not receive or store your Google password.

Profile data. If you upload a CV, we extract information such as education, skills, languages, and years of experience to build your profile and provide personalised job recommendations.

Preference data. Your saved jobs, alert preferences, preferred job levels, locations, and domains.

Usage data. Pages you visit, jobs you click on, and interactions with site features. We also collect device type, browser, and IP address.

• Analyse usage patterns to improve the product

If you upload a CV, we use automated tools to read it and suggest relevant jobs. Your CV content is processed by a third-party provider and is not used to train AI models. You can delete your CV and profile data at any time from your profile page.

We work with third-party providers for sign-in (Google), CV processing, analytics, error monitoring, email delivery, and hosting. These providers only access the data necessary to perform their function on our behalf.

We do not sell your personal data, and we do not share it with data brokers or advertisers.

We use the following cookies:

• Session cookie (essential) — maintains your signed-in session
• Analytics cookies (optional) — help us understand how the site is used

We do not use advertising or marketing cookies. We honour Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control browser signals.

We keep your account and profile data for as long as your account is active. CV files and extracted text are deleted immediately when you remove your CV. Alert delivery logs are retained for deduplication purposes. If you delete your account, all associated data is permanently removed.

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or export your personal data. You can also withdraw consent for optional data processing at any time. To exercise any of these rights, email us at contact@iocareers.org.

Specifically, you can:

• Access & export your profile data from your profile page
• Delete your CV, saved jobs, and profile data at any time
• Opt out of email alerts from your notification preferences
• Request full account deletion by contacting us

We protect your data with encryption in transit, secure session cookies, direct-to-storage file uploads, and access-controlled cloud infrastructure. While no system is perfectly secure, we take reasonable measures to protect your information.

IO Careers is not directed at anyone under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe we have collected data from a child, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via a notice on the site. Your continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance.
